Convenience store wine in Japan
Posted By: Howie Hayman

Yup, I was bold enough to purchase and drink cheap wine from a local convenience store in Nara, Japan. The wine was called Ureshii (means happy in Japanese) and came with little plastic souvenir grapes which should have been enough to keep most people from taking a chance with this stuff.
Anyway, I was with a few friends but definitely drank the most in the group. Within two hours it seemed as if my head was going to come off. I was sick through the night and into the next day. The moral of the story. especially in Japan, NO, especially at a convenience store in Japan, NO, especially purchasing cheap wine at a convenience store in Japan, you definitely get what you pay for.
