Grade 3 english teacher, Istanbul

Native speaking English Teacher required grade 3,
Due to maternity leave we have an opening for a Grade 3 English Teacher at Kultur 2000 College, Istanbul, Turkey. www.kultur2000.k12.tr.

The position we have avaible is for an "immersion style homeroom teacher" teaching English as a second language in the primary school.
This is a bilingual school - not an International school , so Turkish is the students first language; our job as Internationals is to only speak English to the children so they learn to communicate effectively in English

The successful applicant is teamed with 2 Turkish partner teachers and these teams are responsible for guiding 2 classes of children through each aspect of their daily schedule.
Grade 3 is a serious academic level in Turkey and the children in this school have a busy and fulfilling weekly schedule that encompasses many aspects western children would never get.

The school has a syllabus framework that the children are taught from ( with flexibility for your own style to be added ) and has wonderful co-ordination between grades 1,2 and 3 to help you with any aspects of methodologies etc.
There are 10 hour English language lessons per week per class, the rest of your language duties are about exposing them to English and then encouraging the children to speak english through their daily activities.
The class sizes are capped at 18 children.
This is a full time position (mon to friday) with breaks during the day when the Turkish teachers and branch teachers are with the children. And a few saturdays for parents and portfolio presentations

The position pays 800 Great British Pound per month (net)
plus good quality accommodation with all non-consumables paid,
plus airfare reimbursement equivalent of Istanbul - London,
plus 8 weeks paid holiday pay,
plus transport to and from school, plus school lunches,
plus great cultural experiences,
plus costs associated with residency and work permits.
The position requires you to be in Istanbul and ready to start asap for some training and settling in time
( first semester concludes 25th January , second semester starts on February 11th )
