Teach Away is currently looking for dedicated teachers who are interested in teaching in JAPAN. All jobs are within the Japanese public school system, giving teachers a unique experience!

As an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher), foreign teachers work alongside a Japanese teacher throughout the year. This is an ideal job for those who want to gain valuable teaching experience while exploring Japan.

JOB DETAILS

Start Date mid-late August 2008
End Date late March 2009
Location All across Japan (no Tokyo placements)
Student Level Elementary and Junior High
School Type Public Schools
Working Hours 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
Monthly Salary 250,000 JPY
Visa Sponsored by school
Housing Subsidized housing (teachers pay approximately 50,000JPY/month)
Vacation National Holidays + 10 days in December/January

Native English Speaker
University Undergraduate Degree (in any discipline)
TESOL Certification preferred but not required
Drivers licence holders preferred
