Job Description:
The Author will work as part of a team composed of head of section of curriculum, curriculum officer illustrators, editor, designers and media to produce the new course material to the necessary standard and deadlines.

Qualifications and experience required:
A university degree in a relevant discipline
At least 3 years experience in EFL teaching at the age range of 14-18
Not less than 5 years experience in ELT materials writing within the above age range.
Experience of writing for commercial publishers will be an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills

Desirable:
Experience of writing multi-component materials
Experience of Quart Xpress
Overseas experience
Experience with Macintosh systems

Essential:
Driving License

Remuneration:

1. Tax-free salary of Rial Omani 1600 per month (1 RO = $2.6)
(will include water, gas and electricity charges and any end of contract gratuity as well as allowances)

2. Annual return air tickets from country of destination to Muscat to employee, non-working spouse and up to 3 children

3.Suitable furnished air-conditioned accommodation

4.Free health care whilst in the country at government hospitals to employee, non-working spouse and up to 3 children

5.Baggage allowance of RO 80/- at the beginning and at the end of the contract

6.Insurance against accident and death for the benefit of RO 5,000 each to employee, non-working spouse and up to 3 children

7.A maximum of 48 calendar days annual leave per year
