Are you an experienced ESL instructor?
WELS America Inc. (WELS) is searching for 4 committed, responsible, enthusiastic and outgoing LIVE-IN Instructors to teach our students from January 4th – February 10th.
If you have ESL teaching experience this could be the job for you!

Some highlights of the WELS program in California are the special all expenses paid excursions to nearby cities.
Trips to Los Angeles include visits to
Six Flags Magic Mountain, The Getty Center,
UCLA and Hollywood. The program also includes a trip to Palm Springs and day at the beach in
Santa Monica.

Instructors who are familiar with Southern California and have prior knowledge of any of these cities and places will definitely be an asset. Compensation includes all meals during program, accommodations, entrance, transportation and other program related expenses. Instructors will be required to participate in a 2 day training and orientation session before the start of the program. Compensation will be between $2500 - $3000 depending on qualifications and experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

-BA/BS in education, English or related field, or relevant experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

-Valid TOEFL, TESOL, TEFL, CELTA or other relevant certification in ESL teaching
-Documented experience in teaching English and/or tutoring to elementary, middle, high school students
-Documented experience in summer/winter recreation programs
-Documented volunteer experience with elementary, middle, high school students
-Valid driver’s license with good driving record
-Ability to accept guidance and supervision from supervisor(s) and to work with others
-The qualities necessary to provide a positive role model
-Evidence of the following personal characteristics: flexibility, positive outlook, creativity, concern for safety of program participants, good interpersonal skills, a willing attitude, adaptability, decision making skills, maturity, integrity, and approachability
