Secondary EP, CEP and ICEP Teachers Needed

BFITS is now hiring for the 2008 School Year!

Benefits:
• 32,500 to 38,000 baht salary per month plus 500 baht per hour over 80 or 100 teaching hours /monthly (depending on which academic program)
• 10 -12 month contract that can be extended for additional years and additional

• Visa extension, work permit, and teacher’s license paid by BFITS A Thai coordinator is assigned to the school to assist you with program maintenance, copies, etc.

• Ongoing professional development and training by internal and external trainer

Working Conditions:
• Class sizes range from 25-40 students per class
• School hours are approximately 08.00-15.30 Monday to Friday
• Classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with LCDs to display educational media (English Program only)
• Curriculum, lesson plans and sample power point lessons provided to teachers
• All teaching materials (US McGraw-Hill or UK based ESL series) are supplied by BFITS: A notebook computer (English Program only) and teacher’s editions or textbooks are issued to the teacher that contains all teaching materials, black line masters, student books, CDs, flashcards etc

English Program Positions:

1. Rangsit Area: Secondary Grade 1 (M1) Teacher to instruct Science and Literature. This school is set in a beautiful campus, with a lovely director, friendly foreign language teachers, and deeply respectful and academically focused students. Class size is 25-30. This position is best suited for an experienced teacher who would like to stay in Thailand long term. Many of our teachers at this school have been with BFITS for many years.
2. On-Nut Area: Secondary Teacher needed to instruct M1 and M2 Science and M2 Math (Algebra) and M2 ICT. This school has recently remodeled facilities, a new computer lab, hi speed internet and reinforced sound in the classroom, new desks and is set in a beautiful campus near the old airport in Bangkok. The successful candidate for this position will have IT skills and enthusiasm to pass onto the students.

2) Conversation English Program teachers who work with a larger group of students, have 25 contact hours per week, but little prep is required. This is mostly teaching English as a second language as opposed to teaching a content course. Salary is 32,500 THB per month for the first year, and same benefits as above minus laptop. CEP teachers work with a select group of mattayom or pratthom age students.

CEP Positions:

1. CEP Thonburi Area: Suburban Bangkok Area: Secondary Grade 1,2 & 5 (M1, 2 & 5) Conversational English Teacher. This all boy’s school is located near Wat Arun Watchararam in Thonburi. This school has large classes, with air conditioning, friendly Thai staff with whom our staff enjoys a positive working relationship, with shared teachers’ office with Thai staff equipped with wireless internet.

3) Intensive Conversation English Program teachers are similar to the second job description but work more closely with students to reinforce learning, hence the "intensive." These teachers earn 34,000 THB and have 25 contact hours. Lesser experienced teachers are often placed in the CEP or ICEP programs and later promoted to EP, as the EP teachers are required to maintain the Ministry of Education standards and are required to complete the MOE strands. Both of these programs have a Thai coordinator to assist with making photocopies, etc.

ICEP Positions:

1. Bangkok Area: Secondary Grade 1-3 Teacher needed to instruct English Conversation. This school is located near Mo-Chit BTS station and has a lovely campus located near Wat Phrasee Temple. This school is an integrated aspect of Phakanon Rajabat Teachers Graduate and Undergraduate University. This is a quiet area of Bangkok, but with an active university student body. These students have scored very high on national academic exams.
2. ICEP Rangsit Area: Suburban Bangkok Area: Secondary Grade 1-3 (M1-3) Teacher to instruct Conversational English at a school is set in a beautiful campus, with a lovely director, friendly foreign language teachers, and deeply respectful and academically focused students. Class size is 25-30. This position is best suited for an experienced teacher who would like to stay in Thailand long term. Many of our teachers at this school have been with BFITS for many years.

All of our teachers are provided with digital and/or physical resources provided by McGraw Hill (US curriculum standard) or Project (ESL series). We also conduct training sessions to help our teachers achieve their potential, exchange ideas, and increase communicative solutions to any problems encountered throughout the term. Additionally, we provide assistance and support in obtaining your work permit and teacher’s license.
