High School Science and Math Teacher

Srithammarat Suksa School (www.epamc.com) in Nakhon Sri Thammarat, Thailand is looking for native English speakers to join our faculty. The positions to be filled are Science and Math Teacher in the English Program for high school and we also have one opening for a kindergarten teacher.

Qualifications: Degree in Education or other Bachelor’s Degree. Science/math education or teaching experience is preferred. Native English speakers only.

Salary is from 30,000 baht per month. Also included is a contract completion bonus of 24,000 at the end of each full year taught, plus one incoming airfare from your country of origin. For applicants already residing in Thailand, an additional 2,000 baht per month is paid in lieu of airfare. The school also provides 20,000 baht per year of accident and health insurance. Minimum 6 weeks paid holidays. All work permit and visa fees after arrival are covered by the school. Other perks include working on our beautiful, tree-filled campus with a very friendly and accommodating Thai staff. Classrooms are air conditioned and a personal internet connection at your desk. A Thai lunch is provided on school days.

Srithammarat Suksa is a private Christian school founded in 1901. The school has about 5000 students from kindergarten through high school. The English Program is now in its 8th year with more than 300 students. English program students take 50% of their subjects in English. Classes are small and teachers and students get to know each other well.

Our city, Nakon Si Thammarat, is an ancient trading capital with most modern western conveniences: internet, satellite TV, pizza. Renting a house can be done for about 10% of monthly salary, leaving plenty to experience local culture in our medium-sized, untouristed Thai city. Both beaches and mountains are within a 30 minute drive, and the famous tourist meccas of Samui, Ko Pa Ngan, Krabi and Phuket are a short drive away.
