My name is Rosemary Macdonald and I am seeking work as an English teacher. I am a female Australian, and I am TESOL qualified. I currently work as a Customer Service Operator for a company called Stellar Communications in Wollongong.

I will arrive in China, Hong Kong on the 24/01/08 and I am looking for a 6 month contract. I don’t have any experience, yet I believe I will be a capable, conscientious and enthusiastic teacher. I have been accepted to Wollongong University, however I have deferred in order to travel and teach English. I would greatly appreciate consideration of my application for any available teaching positions.

EXPERIENCE:

• Customer Service Operator for Stellar, Wollongong

My role at Stellar involved retrieving data in order to answer customer enquiries, whilst delivering excellent customer service. I was also required to meet performance targets and work as part of a team environment.

• Customer Service Operator at Centrelink, Wollongong

As a Customer Service Operator I was required to have good typing skills and computer knowledge of databases and specific programs. In this profession I was able to hone strong interpersonal and communication skills, multitasking skills and problem solving abilities.

• Sales Representative for United Advertising, Sydney

As a Sales Representative I developed strong communication skills and learnt the responsibility of personal presentation and representing a company. I also learnt the ability to goal set, how to market a product in an effective way to a specific group of consumers and tailor my sales approach appropriate to that group of consumers.

• Kitchen Hand at Aqua Restaurant, Wollongong

As a Kitchen Hand I developed excellent multitasking and communication skills, in addition to learning the importance of attention to detail, trade methods and techniques.
