I am a hardworking and charismatic individual, with excellent communication and presentation skills. Throughout my academic and working life I have always sought to increase my knowledge and expertise in each particular field. I am very adaptable and both quick and eager to learn new skills.
EXPERIENCE
2003-Present Manchester Salford Officer Training Corps (MSUOTC)
Junior Under Officer (JUO)/Physical Training Instructor (PTI) Part Time
Completed a 2 week Cadre in 2005 to become a JUO, the responsibilities of which included the selection, training and development of up to 250 Officer Cadets. The aforementioned tasks required great motivational and communication skills alongside upholding the core principles as laid down by the British Army.
Completed my Physical Training Instructors Course in 2004, my primary responsibility was the development and assessment of the organizations physical fitness alongside the planning and execution of various other physical activities in compliance with strict military regulations. As a result of my efforts 20 individuals who failed the fitness test passed 2 months later.
2004/2005 Cambrian Patrol The hardest military competition in the United Nations, a competition which required excellent team work, stamina and perseverance and communication under extreme physical and mental conditions.
2002-2004 The Corniche Club
Gym Assistant Part Time
Worked as part of a team to increase the sale of memberships and sports merchandise to both members and non-members, this required good communication and sales skills.
Conducted gym inductions and fitness assessments on a regular basis, in order to produce training programs in conjunction with individuals physical abilities and long term aspirations.
Responsible for the maintenance and safety of the fitness suite and swimming pool.2001-2003 Knaresborough Swimming Pool
Lifeguard Part Time
Responsible for the organization and management of a team of 5 lifeguards including staff rotas and discipline.
Required excellent communication skills between both staff and the general public of various ages, genders and backgrounds.
Organised and trained a team 6 individuals to run the Knaresborough Bed Race where we raised a total of £2000 for the charity NSPCC.

The preparation, planning and deliverance of presentations, individually and as a group to course lecturers and students. This greatly improved my ability to communicate complex historical and political issues both confidently and coherently.
The writing of essays and papers to strict deadlines, this required excellent time appreciation and management alongside the analysis of large quantities of data.
