Self Description as a Teacher:
It takes a special person to be a teacher. Teaching is like no other profession, and I do believe in order to be a good teacher, you will need to wear many hats. You will be a communicator, a disciplinarian, a conveyor of information, an evaluator, a classroom manager, a counselor, a decision maker, a role-model, and even a surrogate parent.
-I am good at explaining things, and I have a sense of humor, which is really a greatly
needed tool in the classroom, and it can be a powerful addition to any lesson.
-I asses my students on the basis of performance, not on the students personal qualities.
-I am a good time manager, wherein time is one of the most precious resources.
-I set high expectations for my students and hold them to those expectations, I also
set high expectations for myself as a teacher, and demand excellence not only for
myself but for my students as well.
